Insolvency stock for sale: how to buy bankruptcy stock from Germany

When a company in Germany becomes insolvent, its inventory is sold by the insolvency administrator, often at short notice and as full lots. We take over such stock on our own account and resell it to trade buyers with a packing list and clear terms.

How insolvency stock is sold in Germany

In German insolvency proceedings, the court appoints an insolvency administrator (Insolvenzverwalter) who is responsible for realising the company's assets for the benefit of creditors. Inventory such as footwear, apparel or consumer goods is part of those assets.

Administrators usually need to act quickly: storage costs run on, leases end and seasonal goods lose value. They therefore prefer buyers who can take a complete lot, pay before handover and collect without delay. Individual sales to many small buyers are rarely practical in this situation.

How we take over and resell the stock

Our sister company we-buy-stock.com buys stock from insolvency administrators, brands and manufacturers on its own account, with payment before handover. The goods are then offered through we-sell-stock.com to registered trade buyers.

For you, this means you buy from a German company that holds title to the goods, not from a broker. There are no fees and no commission. Lots range from €10,000 up to several million euros, from single pallets to complete warehouse stocks.

How offers reach you

Bankruptcy stock is not listed publicly. Administrators expect discretion, so we send offers by e-mail or WhatsApp only to registered buyers whose profile matches. Each offer contains photos, a packing list with items, sizes and quantities, the price and the validity. Lots are allocated in the order of binding confirmations, and prepayment by bank transfer is due within 48 hours of the proforma invoice.

Checklist: how to recognise a credible seller

Offers of cheap insolvency stock circulate widely, and not all of them are genuine. Before paying anyone, check the following.

  • A full legal imprint with company name, address and managing director
  • A commercial register entry you can verify yourself
  • A valid VAT ID that can be checked in the EU VIES system
  • A packing list with items, sizes and quantities, not just photos
  • Payment to a business bank account in the seller's company name
  • The option to inspect the goods by appointment
  • Clear written terms: Incoterm, payment deadline, allocation rules

FAQ

Questions and answers

Can I buy directly from the insolvency administrator?
Sometimes, but administrators usually sell complete inventories at short notice to buyers who can pay immediately and collect. We take over such lots and resell them to trade buyers in suitable sizes.
Is insolvency stock new merchandise?
In most cases it is unsold trading stock of the insolvent company. The condition of each lot is described in the offer and packing list.
Why is there no public list of insolvency stock?
Insolvency administrators and manufacturers expect discretion. Offers therefore go only to registered trade buyers whose profile matches the lot.
How quickly do I need to decide?
Each offer has a stated validity. Lots are allocated in the order of binding confirmations, and payment is due within 48 hours of the proforma invoice.
What documents do I need to register?
A business registration or commercial register extract. EU companies also need a VAT number, which we check via VIES. Buyers outside the EU provide a business licence and tax number.
Do you charge a commission on insolvency stock?
No. We buy the stock on our own account and resell it. There are no fees and no commission on top of the agreed price.
